We are recruiting!!!!

As with all “youth” organisations, our players have to move on once they reach an age where they can no longer take part in youth contests, where the upper age limit is strictly regulated. They can of course continue to play with us at concerts, but we usually say goodbye to them once they reach the magic age of 19. Each year in September we have several players move on to university or jobs, which does leave gaps in the band. We need a continual flow of new young players into the band to replace those who leave. Are you a young brass player? If you are, no matter what your standard, we would love to hear from you! Yes, we are a highly successful band, winning many prizes throughout the year, but don’t let that put you off! All our players had to make a start on their musical career, but once they joined our band, their musical ability started to fly!

Interested? Drop an email to adminmanager@youthbrass2000.com, or telephone our band chairman Don Collins – 07860 525352 – we will be delighted to hear from you, and to welcome you into our ranks! Alternatively, just come along to Wilbarston village hall on a Sunday evening at 5pm, although a phone call would make sure we are actually going to be there! We might be out at a concert or contest, so it’s worth that call first!

What are you waiting for?
