Congratulations to our very own Siobhan Bates principal horn player of Youth Brass 2000 and European Champion Soloist on her appointment as the Principal Horn Player of the Most Famous and successful Brass Band in the World ‘The Black Dyke Band’ conducted by Dr. Nicholas Childs. She follows in the footsteps of some of greatest horn players of all times, to name just a few Sandy Smith & Sheona White. We wish her all the best for the future and I am sure that she will have many years of fantastic banding at the highest level and the first being a trip to Japan. I am also pleased that Siobhan still wishes to continue being a member of Youth Brass 2000 as and when available. This is an remarkable achievement for someone of this tender age to achieve this accolade, and I am so proud of Siobhan, and know that like me, you are all also so proud of her.
