At last - after all the years receiving only highly commended awards, or even nothing at all, we were finally granted the award for the most outstanding performance in our section. Only one other band received an award - this for a highly commended performance. Obviously our "Big Band" set was what the adjudicators were looking for as they were full of praise for it! It was a brilliant result!
The "outside" performance this year took place as usual in the amphitheatre, which the council had turned into a beach, complete with sand and deckchairs!
