This year we were visiting France and Belgium. We stayed in a sort of French "château" which was great as we had the whole place to ourselves! We played concerts in a town square, in a church, in a municipal park, and in the famous Menin Gate, where we provided the music for the Last Post ceremony. We also had a boat trip in Brugge, plus lots of other entertainment, including a quiz back at the château! We also had a great time in the theme park!

Perhaps one of the best concerts was the last one. We were in Calais on our way home, where we were booked to play our last concert in a local park. However, it was pouring with rain, so we couldn't do it. However, Don decided to ask the coach driver to take the coach into the centre of Calais, where he spotted a brightly-lit cafe - "Cafe de la Tour" - very appropriate! Don asked the proprietor in his best French if we could perform for him under the big awning outside his cafe. The proprietor was delighted to agree, and moved all the furniture out of the way for us. The concert was brilliant - the place was packed once we started up!
