In early March 2006 we were highly privileged to have a rehearsal directed by Mr Alan Fernie. Mr Fernie is the composer of "A Caledonian Suite", which is the test piece for the forthcoming National Youth Championships at the RNCM, Manchester. Who better to show us how a piece of music should be played than the composer himself? We had a wonderful time with Mr Fernie, and feel we now have quite an edge over all the other competing bands! The band would like to say a really big thank you to Mr Fernie for coming all the way from Scotland to our rehearsal.
