Here's a message from Don Collins, our chairman about the forthcoming National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain Easter Course.
Some exciting news......The Easter course this year is to be held in my home town of Uppingham at the fabulous Uppingham School.
Two things, firstly the band will be performing a concert in the Great Hall at the school on Friday 14th April.
The band will of course be conducted by the international superstar conductor Bramwell Tovey and there is a promise of 2 brilliant guest soloists.
I have managed to persuade the committee of NYBBGB to keep the ticket price ridiculously low at £8.00 and £5.00 concessions,
It would be great to fill the hall.
Secondly,calling all Tuba players,there is a vacancy for Eb and Bb Tubas for the weeks course,(8-15th April) as it`s so local,do we have any takers?
At Youth Brass 2000 we are always so busy,this would be a chance to sit back and enjoy watching The National Youth Band of GB.
And let`s not forget, several of our own members are part of the NYBBGB.
