We had our annual trip up the M6 to Preston, to take part in the youth section of the "Brass at the Guild" contest in Preston, Lancs. We have won this contest for the last three years - could we do it again? Yes, we can! We reprised our Butlins programme, which ticked all the right boxes with the adjudicators. A delighted Chris Jeans headed back down the M6 with Youth Brass 2000 having claimed their fourth consecutive British Open Youth title. In a reprise primarily of their recent Butlins winning programme, the polished musical presentation was accompanied by some terrific playing.
